The DfT has just released the latest test performance statistics in the UK (April to June 2021), for people learning to drive.
The theory pass rate is 54%
The practical pass rate is 52% which is 7% lower than the pass rate between Jan – March 2021
First attempt passes of the practical driving test averaged out at 51% and 2nd attempt passes at 50.4%
We have observed at BIG TOM a huge increase in driving tests being conducted in private cars at driving test centres and await the DfT statistics for those pass rates compared to tests undertaken in a driving school car.
